May 16th 2021 - COVID-19 Parish Mask Guidelines

Hello Church Family,

The Parish Council met last week to discuss our mitigation plans involving covid-19. The CDC recently updated some of their information about the spread of the virus and the effectiveness of the current vaccines. In light of this new information, and based on statements from the Vatican and the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, the council voted and decided that we will relax some of our mask wearing guidelines. Our cleaning regiment of the buildings will remain the same. Following our meeting, the Diocese of Fairbanks also released a decree later in the week that aligns with our council decision (Decree from Bishop Chad).

We will now encourage all parishioners to wear masks during church services, however mask usage will not be required. We will continue to encourage parishioners to social distance while in the building and to wash hands and stay home if feeling ill.

Please, if you have any suggestions or comments on the council's decision, we invite you to respond via email or contact any of the council members, and if necessary we will further discuss the guidelines. In addition to the 6pm Saturday evening mass in Healy, the 10am Sunday mass in Healy and 1:30pm mass in Nenana, the church will continue to offer Online Zoom mass throughout the summer for those who prefer to login from home.
